Natural Skin Products- 3rd Step Moisturizing

There is a need for products that form a thin layer on the skin, prevent the skin from drying out, moisturize and nourish it. Moisturizing task is done with serum, lotion and creams.

There are three main functions sought in moisturizing cosmetic products;

1) Softening (emollient; fatty acids)

2) Moisture absorption (humectant; glycerin, propylene glycol, sodium lactate, hyaluronic acid, aloe vera gel, panthenol)

3) Forming a film on the skin surface (occlusive; Squalen, shea, mango, cocoa, soybean oils, grape seed oil, propylene glycol, lanolin, lecithin, beeswax, candelila wax)

If generalization is made, humidifiers are divided into two different groups;

1) Anhydrous products (oil-based serums, ointment, balm, bar) /Anhydrous

2) Water-based products (emulsions; water-based serums, lotions and creams)

Creams and lotions are emulsions; It is a combination of water and oil. Oil and water don't naturally mix, so an emulsifier is needed to make a cream or lotion. Emulsifiers bind the oil phase and water phase of an emulsion together. They contain hydrophilic (water-loving) and lipophilic (oil-loving) elements. Since these types of humidifiers contain water, preservatives must be added to the products.

Here is a moisturizer that formulated with hyaluronic acid and B3 (niacinamide) vitamin. It is designed for blemished, dry and sensitive skin or for anti-wrinkle treatment.
